I wish I had a loaf of fly blown bread
that stunk like a grey squashed toad..
I would only buy it for the maggots
to go fishing down the road.

But my wish was doomed to failure
for the bread fell out on the road
now I'm search in the grey light of dawn
for a fly on the dead toad.
