KEEP AUSTRALIA BEAUTIFUL

KEEP AUSTRALIA BEAUTIFUL

‘Twas early one Sunday – our walk constitutional.
Two dogs and me were just strolling along
the new footpath that runs by the river beautiful
engrossed in fresh smells and morning birdsong.

The magpies were singing their songs so melodious,
kookas were cackling, chortling along
our noses picked up a smell rancid and odorous.
Someone had dumped prawn shells. Rancid and strong.

Quickly we passed by the smell odoriferous
keen to regain the sweet fresh river scent.
Why on earth do we have such ferals live with us?
What part of Australia do they represent?

Thank God in the main they are a small majority
who act in a manner so inexcusable
dumping their litter with blatant impunity.
Shoot slobs like these and keep Australia beautiful.

You're skating on thin ice with some of those rhymes Maureen.

John Whitworth's favourite is ;
I blushed up to the hat o' me
to see that girl's anatomy.

Prawn shells are biodegradable, they are all right. You wouldn't really - shoot - people for littering would you :o :o :o

You bet your life I would Neville and for a lot of other crimes as well.

When you see and read about our beautiful sea creatures killed by ingesting litter that is discarded in our streets and waterways and see beautiful areas of bush desecrated by these grubs, shooting them is too easy. To my way of thinking they are just using up valuable oxygen and contributing nothing to the betterment of the country. We shoot feral animals - what's the difference?

sorry I'm Late Maureen here are my thoughts

Maussie she's the vocal winner Who squawks about this crime Caused by girls and boys the sinners Who should be doing time Boys they should be castrated And girls they're stitched up tight They never should be mated Then we'll see this country right

the old battler

Also - "Yay Bill".
I guess it is a simile alluding to Positive Action.

Too many soft words have become the norm.

'Issue' in lieu of Problem.
'Gay' instead of Homosexual.
Etc.

Easier to hide than solve the situation.
Jim.
