Not a fan of the acrostic . . . as much point to it as Haiku me thinks. Anyway good to have a crack at one for homework.
Please not the 'The Territory' is pronounced as it is commonly said with 3, not 4 syllables ie. "The Terra-tree" is that right Ross
POLITICS . . . an acrostic
©M Pattie 20120
Passed down through generations, of many a Murri clan
On voting day, twas often heard “Ay, which one Whitlam-man?”
Lingiari in the 60’s, and Labor’s Land Rights Act
Indigenous communities; the ALP they backed
Today in outback Queensland, and throughout The Territory
It seems that credit's run out – for the current ALP
Cos taken long for granted – that demographic class
So no more “Which one Whitlam-man?” It’s bit them on the arse.

Re: Politics
Good on you Mr Pattie for giving it a go - they are a bit of fun aren't they to do occasionally - gets the old brain box . Wouldn't want to be doing them all the time though. I reckon they are well suited for cynical political verse such a you have done here - even religion it seems.

Re: Politics
Now that acrostic was suitable for making a point Marty. Good one, I like it.
At least they voted Marty. In our local council election last Saturday 10 % of the vote was informal.
