ITS THAT TIME AGAIN

Post by mummsie » Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:02 pm

Yes, it's that time of the year again 8-) 8-)

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN

Spring is here and once again the magpies on the go.
Pecking at the unsuspecting heads of folk below.
Robbing kids of playtime when they picnic in the park.
Injuring the postman-yes, they sure can leave a mark.
Nervously we try to get the jobs done 'round the yard.
Gasping at the slightest noise, he keeps us on our guard.
Terrorising neighbourhoods and even football games.
Idly waiting for his chance-ignoring threats and names.
Making sure his nest is safe is what he's all about.
Entertaining as we watch when others scream and shout.

Hi Sue,
Wow that was quick off the mark, I didn't realise the next homework topic has arrived.

The odd Maggi can be a real menace can't they, just being good parents I guess, trying to protect their young.

Just had a look at the topic and now realise what a clever person you are.

Think I'll give this one a miss!

Oh that is brilliant Sue - very very good and it is lovely to see Springtime again even if the Maggies do get a bit toey. This is one hell of an acrostic poem - just shows what can be done with a little thought. Did I say it was good?

Didn't take you for a chicken Terry    Come on you can do it - pretty please

Cheers

Maureen

That's great Sue.I know what you are talking about, we have a lot around here.

That's a good one to use for your young poetry pupils if you get the chance. ;)

Thank you Terry, Maureen and Neville.
First time I've had a go at one of these, a good bit of fun.
Cheers
