If the moon was of cheese, well, what would it be?

Tasty or cheddar or stilton or brie?
And if it was cheese, would it melt in the sun?

Would it blister and bubble and dribble and run?
And what of the far side, so dark and so cold?
Well, if it was cheesy, it wouldn’t grow mould!

The astronauts landed, but nought could they eat.
Nor could they feel the cheese under their feet.
They left mighty boot prints all over the place,
And large plastic helmets were placed on their face.
They said that it’s not cheese, which might be a blow,
But, bereft of their senses, well, how would they know?

Halloumy friend - As a cheese lover Stephen I found this to be a tasty little morsel which I had previously overlooked in an effort at dietary discretion. Hav art i beg you as it did not go unnoticed. However I would b edam ed if I would let it pass without comment - I camem bert to see good writing and cheeses unacknowledged. It is a quark y little piece that I much enjoyed...sharp am funny writing, something that you do so well Stephen.

Keep this up and I reckon you will become the Mozzafello in childrens writing in Australia

Sorry is this a bit cheesy  It was heartfelt but I will try to critique more Caerphilly and use less Blarney and Abondance in future.

Cheese

Maureen
