These things happen. For those of us who weren't there it might seem to be easily avoidable, but then...we weren't there.

Excellent write Dennis - one of the horrors of war that we tend to not speak about - it happens more often I suspect than we know and probably a lot less than one might expect given the circumstances.

Thanks Maureen and Neville - yes the soldier this happened to was just listed as KIA - killed in action.
