JUST FED UP
© Jeff Thorpe April 2018
Stop the world please, I no longer wish to be here,
this technological know-how has sent me round the twist,
Passwords, PINS and Apps, their rule is severe
and I am unreservedly, seriously pissed.
Store them all in your brain, never trust to paper,
above all do not ever reveal them to anyone,
treat them just the same as undetected vapour,
in this race to the future I’m distinctly overrun.
And after all this, you can be hacked by some low life
one step ahead of the technology cops,
all the firewall security and yet there still is strife,
think all’s going rosy and up a speed bump pops.
How does a regular loser of glasses cope?
One who barely knows what day it is,
methinks I’m surely on the downward slope,
hopelessly outdated in this world of modern biz.
I’ve only recently advanced to an automatic car,
my lawn mower, as many know, is a 1980 model,
I’m about as flexible as a horizontal bar
and today’s political correctness, I feel’s a load of twaddle.
So, where does that leave me, a relic of yesteryear,
prone to find solace in an afternoon nap,
one thing I can tell you though, in truth never fear,
my hearing aids work real well without need of an App.
