Yes Vic it is often a thankless job I guess...but then so are many of the jobs we do. I have often heard women say, 'I would hate to be married to a policeman, you would never know if he was going to come home alive, it's so dangerous.' I have often argued that it is probably more dangerous to be a truck driver, an ambulance officer or even an electrician these days. Most of them do a good job and like what they do, though like most jobs, there will always be the crook things that your job expects of you.
A good mind stirring yarn just the same mate.

Mate, I reckon there are many dangerous jobs out there, but I don't think there is much doubt that the cops are our front line troops and they are the only ones I know that run towards trouble when everyone else is running away.
