Your Shout

Post by alongtimegone » Wed Dec 23, 2015 11:30 am

“Did you know that ‘shish’ means skewer.”
Blue informed me late one night.
He was cooking Kebabs on the barbie
And reckoned he did ‘em just right.

“You’ve got to use top grades of meat.” Bluey said.
"Beef, lamb or pork, not a worry.
And don’t over marinate Wazza.
And don’t ever cook in a hurry.

Take it slow … have a beer, or a whiskey or wine,
it’s a definite must when you’re cooking.
Then maybe one more if you’re lucky,
and see that the old girl’s not looking.

When creating a masterpiece Wazza,
make sure all the cubes are same size.
Meat, veggies or pieces of fruit,
whatever- enjoy- improvise.

‘Cause cooking has got to be fun Wazz.
Good tucker - what life’s all about.
Now - I’m thinking it’s time for a cold one or two,
so get off your bum … it’s your shout."

Perhaps you could have demonstrated to Blue the finer points of skewering.

Thanks all .. just a bit of fun as you said Catherine.
It's an art Neville. Nothing off centre allowed.
Not for Christmas Ron. My wife is very traditional ... baked Christmas lunch regardless of summer temperature.
Cheers ... Wazza
