For the cropduster

From before your time here Allan and while I was still living in the Alice!

“The Caterpillar Man Bag’

© Ross Magnay

I was standing in the chemist shop while Sheryl bought the drugs,
we seem to need a lot as we mature.
As I surveyed the shoppers there was something caught my eye,
unusual to me a bit obscure.
See this bloke he had a shoulder bag that hung down to his waist,
The sorta thing you see a sheila tote,
A little yellow number with a cupla bits of black, then suddenly a lump came to my throat.

It was blazoned with an emblem that is known by working men, machinery men or maybe in a truck,
I tried to just ignore it like it wasn’t really there, alas it wouldn’t happen and the vision really stuck.
I just couldn’t get a picture of this joker in a rig, I doubt he’d seen a dozer or a hoe,
Though despite his soft appearances the bag was slightly soiled, so I’m guessing I will never really know.

Seems like nothing now is sacred and I can attest to that,
the emblem on his man bag was the famous emblem…CAT!

Still a good bit of fun Ross although for some reason Neville springs to mind readily. Could be because I have seen his man-bag - not a yellow one though.

Thanks Ross

A CAT on an unmanly man wearing a man-bag in Alice.

Loved it!!!!
