Or you could see it as a challenge Manfred and set out to find out who did actually write it. I thought it would be fun if we all changed a word or two and sent our own versions into cyberspace and see where they go. A bit like Chinese whispers. :)

Banjo wrote something quite different to what has been put up here. I must admit I cringe every time I see something like this. One stanza was more than enough for me - I didn't finish reading it.

You'd have to find those punks first. This particular punk seems to have a lot of names to hide behind.

Does the use of "punks" define grumpy now?

good poem Manfred, well enjoyed. Banjo Paterson had a great imagination, but i don't think he walked mobs of sheep in from Queensland like our family did.?
The days of the overland drovers now are a thing of the past. but iam glad i had the privilege to work beside those men that were.
