I like this. You are so right. The various people once considered the legimate carriers of the news now seem to get their stories from places like Twitter.

Mate, you just it all up so well in so few words!! I am in your corner, as I hate the media vultures wanting death and destruction and now even extending their programing in hope of disasters an personal tragedies emerging.
Well said, and a great little poem to boot!

Yeah Marty well said, the reporters seem to be having a exciting time, I have been through a couple of cyclones and it’s not at all fun and games, I have brothers and nephews from Brisbane to mission beach one actually on the beach front at Mission Beach. It’s a bit of a worry.

Marty, this is not really new I am afraid, been around for along time.
A. People don't buy the paper unless there is something exciting , B. jounalists have to produce exciting stuff every day cause C. if people don't buy the paper, commercial interests won't buy advertising space and if ads are not sold then D. newspaper proprietors don't become fantastically rich from advertising revenue. E. If there's no exciting stuff then they must create it somehow ...back to B.

About relevant news and facts ( facts  ) who care$$$
