Ocean life

Ocean life

Cooling breezes whisper
rustling leaves that talk
weathered trees of history
where crustaceans walk

Crystal ocean rolling
shades of blue or green
vibrant coral colours
paint a living scene

Mother oceans stories
moonlight shadows swell
gentle waves are speaking
hidden tales they tell

Vessels, rocking, thrashing
stronger winds now wail
heaving closer daily
ancient people sail

Virgin sand they’re walking
in this morning dew
feasting seafood’s freshness
toasting life anew

G/David,
a really nicely written poem, very descriptive.
It reminds me of holiday times down at Peaceful Bay, I can hear gentle waves lapping, smell the salt air.

Cheers Terry

G'day Dave...
Love a piece that is sparse and spare and yet is able to conjure images and sensations.
For me, it intimates the siren call of the ocean to ancient seafarers, their risking the open waters to find new lands...our original settlers perhaps ?

Cheers, Will.
