The Cabin

Post by mummsie » Thu Apr 28, 2011 10:06 am

If anyone finds this place, please let me know where it is.
The Cabin
There's a cabin in the mountains,
where it's peaceful, so serene,
with a creekbed just below it,
flowing waters, crystal clean.

It's the quaintest little dwelling,
made of timber, bricks and stone,
a tin roof to hear the rainfall,
rustic chimney, feels like home.

There's a welcome mat to greet you,
wooden door now open wide,
as it's cosiness engulfs you,
take a step, and go inside.

Ther'e a fire set and ready,
for those chilly, winter nights,
you can see yourself before it,
favorite book and candlelight.

With enthrallment, eyes are drawn now,
to another cosy nook,
homemade goodies on the table,
old fuel stove for you to cook.

By the window, in the corner,
stands a great big feather bed,
with the plumpest feather doona,
downy pillows for your head.

There is magic in this cabin,
You can feel it's warm embrace,
close the door and nestle in here,
leave behind life's hectic pace.

Ther's a cabin in the mountains,
I can see it in my mind,
It's a place I long to visit,
It's a place I long to find.

the door is always open, the kettles always on, my shoulders here to cry on, i'll not judge who's right or wrong.

The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

"Springdale' 1346 Springdale Road, Pikedale would have fitted the bill but sadly I can no longer offer you the hospitality of it.

Looks lovely maureen, there is something about the seclusion of the bush, take me there now. Thank you.
