Am I picking up the end of a relationship tinged with regret - and the ending not as one would have liked ???
I liked the brevity of it - matches the feeling if I am correct of an ending where all the words have been said and nothing more can be added.

Good to see you posting something Matt.  I must admit it is a bit hard for me to get my head around it, I have read it a number of times and it's not easy. It sounds good, I'll keep at it until I find the way.  You've given me something to think on, that's the sign of a good poem I reckon.
